Latton GAA Club Club Notes – Week Beginning 29th August 2022

Lotto draw was held online on Monday 29th August 2022.

The numbers drawn were 12 14 25 28 . There was no Jackpot winner . Our Lucky dip winners Monica Hamilton ,
Pauline McEntee & Helen Coyle . Next weeks jackpot is €7,750.
Thanks to all our players for their continual support of our Lotto.

Congratulations to our Senior Reserves who secured back to back Division 1 reserve titles last Wednesday Night in
Inniskeen against Donaghamoyne. A great battling performance by the team seen them win our on score line of
Latton 1-16 – Donaghmoyne 0-15. Well done also to our Manager Ken and selectors Sean & Daire .
Brilliant to see Daire back on the side-lines.

Player of the Year
We were delighted last Wednesday night to present Thomas McPhilips with the 2021 Player of the year after his
return from USA . The Traynor Cup was presented to Thomas by Stephen McElroy representing the Traynor family
on the night.

U13 Hurlers
A second visit of the week to Inniskeen on Friday last seen our young hurlers win the U13 Hurling League Shield
Final. A wonderful display of hurling by this group of players seen the run our comfortable winners on the day. This
title is in no small part due to the commitment of Gabriel & Stephen for their hard work with this team during the

Run 4 Pieta
We are once again delighted as a Club to get involved in this great Initiative . We will run our 24 Hour Run / walk
commencing on Friday 9th at 6pm and running to Saturday 10th at 6pm. We have chosen these dates as 10th Marks
world Suicide Prevention day. If you would like to book a slot please contact Christina on 087-9051969. The link to
donate is on our social media but we will also have a bucket collection on the day.

Croke Park Visit
Congratulations to our hurlers and footballers who travelled to Croke Park recently to represent the Club at the
activity day … well done Oisin McQuillan,Liam McCaughey,Darraght Rice,James Steenson,John Hamilton & Daithi
O’Brien . A wonderful experience for these young lads.
