History - The Seventies

1974 Parish League

Latton & Aughnamullen minors joined together to win the final of the Treanor Cup. Managed by Fr.White & Tommy Bates, the following contributed handsomely to the victory: Kevin Moynagh, Laurence Hand, Paddy Bates, Seán McArdle, P.J.O’Driscoll & Séamus Morris.

During the following years, Latton continued to play in various competitions, some with near success, but failing to reach the heights of previous years. It seemed that another re-shuffle of the team was necessary.

Younger players were soon mobilised & trained. Managers like Fr.White, Sean Og Flood, Tommy Bates, Paddy Ward, Mickey Lennon & Mickey Duffy all kept the flag flying.
