U16s

The U16 played in the League Final against Cremartin on Saturday 20th September in Castleblayney. In a reversal of Fortunes from the previous week they emerged Victors on a Score Line of Cremartin3-9 to Latton 4-14 . A great performance on the day by all and great to see the final group of Juveniles arriving back to Latton with Silverware.

The U16 played in the Championship Final against Cremartin on Saturday 13th September in Oram at 12.00. In a very enjoyable & Close game the lead changed had on several occasions . Latton Scored a very credible 6- 12 on the day but unfortunately were defeated on the day by a score line of 8-17 to 6-12 . They play the same opposition in the League Final this Saturday 20th in Castleblayney at 11.30.Good Luck in this Game Guys!!!

The u16 had a good win in the Championship Semi Final on Thursday 28th against Rockcorry.

 

 

They also had a good win in the U16 League Semi Final on Monday 1st September and now play   in the Final. A great Achievement to reach League & Championship Finals!!! Best of Luck in Both Games

The Postponed U16 League Semi Final is fixed for Thursday 4th September at home at 6.30pm.

The U16s have a home League Semi Final meeting against Emerald Sarsfields at 7.00 on Thursday 21st.They also play the Championship Semi Final on Thursday 28th at 7.00 against Rockcorry. Good Luck to All.

We had a memorable win over Rockcorry last Thursday 31st July. In the tightest of encounters we emerged victorious on a scoreline of Rockcorry 7-12 Latton 6-17. This leaves us in second place in the league.

We had good home win on Monday 7th against Clones 7-22 to 4-6. The U16 are away v Scotstown tonight Thursday 10th July at 6.45 and have a home Fixture on Thursday 17th July against Emerald Sarsfields at 7.30pm

May 4th - The U16s had an away win against Emerald Sarsfields winning 4-17 to 3-5 on the night.

The U16’s team had a great home win against Scotstown tonight Thursday 24th April with some fine scoring of 8-25 to 0-4. Next game is away fixture tonight Thursday 1st May at 7.15pm against Emerald Sarsfields.

Juvenile Awards Night - Under 16s runners-up 2012

Our Under-16s were presented with their runners-up medals on March 1st 2013. Special guest on the night was Crossmaglen & Armagh legend Oisin McConville. The presentation was followed by a juvenile disco to celebrate their great year.

 

 Championship Final:

Commiserations to our boys who gallantly went down to a more superior Carrickmacross team on Thursday 13th. You'll be back next year lads!!

A great second half display by these young men saw them turn this game around in the second half, losing by 4pts at half time they played some great football in the second half against the wind and went on to win by 4pts. Latton 3-11 Toome 1-13. Team: L Quinn, D Quinn, G Mc Elroy, D Quinn, D,J Mc Mahon, M Farrelly, A Maguire, S Mc Cabe, T Lynch, C Roe, C Lynch, L Mullen, E Mc Geough, P Hanley, C Mc Cabe.

We will now play Carrick in the final this evening Thursday the 13th in Inniskeen at 8-30. So let's all get out and support this great young team.

Our u-16 team's interest in this year's league came to an end last Thursday July 19th when we lost to Carrick in a game we had to win to qualify for a semi-final spot. Training will resume after the summer break in preparation for the u-16 championship.

Our U-16 team played two games last week unfortunately losing both by a narrow margin. We suffered a heavy defeat away to Truagh on Thursday July 12th.

Our u-16s suffered a heavy defeat at home to Clontibret on Thursday 28th , Latton 1-9 Clontibret 2-20. We would like to wish Stephen Mc Cabe a speedy recovery after breaking his arm in the game.

 

We played Castleblayney on Thursday evening june 21st. In a fast entertaining game Latton were lucky to hold out for a 1pt win. Latton 2-6  Castleblayney 2-5.

May 10th  We played Truagh at home on Thursday evening. An under strength Latton team struggled against a very strong Truagh team who run out easy winners in the end. 

May 3rd  In our second league game an under strength Latton team struggled against a strong Toome team that run out easy winners in the end.
